About Betty Stafford’s Care - Video Transcript

Hi, my name is Liz. I'm the founder of Betty Stafford's Care. I named this business after my wonderful grandmother, Betty. Many years ago, her health took a real decline and unfortunately, we didn't put living care and care at home in place. As a family, this is one of our biggest regrets that she wasn't able to remain living in her own home. This firsthand experience really is what fuels my passion about care.

To me, family is everything. And I know firsthand how difficult it is to manage a young family, to support my aging parents, as well as running my own business. So, I understand the pressure that people are under, particularly when you're trying to make decisions about care for your loved ones. Often, people come to me because they just don't know where to start. Fortunately, I've spent the last 20 years working in the care sector, so I can provide the right guidance and advice to get you started on your journey.

At Betty Stafford's, we do things differently. We don't have significant overheads, which means we can provide a really affordable service for people to find the right self-employed carers nationwide. We don't just provide any old carer. We understand everything that you're looking for in terms of someone to support you in your own home. Once we understand all of those needs, we'll provide you with a short list of carers that then you can personally select from. It's really important to us that we find the right person that's going to meet your loved ones needs.

Our whole ethos is that the carer feels valued and rewarded for the work that they do. It's really important to us that we find the right people that will stay with families. Continuity is hugely important, particularly where clients have any cognitive impairment or dementia related illnesses.
